Why can I opt in for a promotion even if my account type is not eligible?

Some promotions use an opt-in mechanism based on your User ID (UID) rather than a specific trading account type.

As a result, you may still be able to opt in for a promotion even if your current trading account type (e.g. ECN) does not meet the eligibility requirements.
