What is the minimum deposit required after opening a trading account?
The minimum deposit requirement must be met before the relevant trading account can be fully unlocked from trading restrictions. The required minimum deposit varies depending on the account type and account currency.
Minimum Deposit by Account Type
Standard / Islamic Standard
Minimum: 0 (Minimum $50 to place trades)
Cent / Islamic Cent
- Minimum: 2,000 USC (20 USD)
Prime / Islamic Prime
- Minimum: 1,000 in the account currency
Prime Cent / Islamic Prime Cent
- Minimum: 100,000 USC (1,000 USD)
ECN Account
- Minimum: 10,000 in the account currency
HKD and JPY Account Currency
For HKD and JPY accounts, the minimum deposit requirement is based on the equivalent amount in USD:
- Standard / Islamic Standard: Equivalent of 50 USD
- Cent / Islamic Cent: Equivalent of 20 USD
- Prime / Islamic Prime: Equivalent of 1,000 USD
- Prime Cent / Islamic Prime Cent: Equivalent of 1,000 USD
- ECN: Equivalent of 10,000 USD
Important Information
- The Cent and Prime Cent account types use USC as the account unit.
- If the minimum deposit requirement has not been met, the applicable account may remain in (Untradable) read-only status.
